Victory Museum is the main Russian military history museum devoted to the Great Patriotic War and World War II, one ofthe largest military history museums in the world. The museum is a tremendous space of emotional perception, obtaining information and scientific knowledge for millions of visitors.
The exhibition area of the main building is more than 16 700 m2. Apart from the main exhibition, you may see six unique dioramas depicting major battles of the Great Patriotic War, a 3D historical and artistic panorama “Battle of Berlin”, and a full-dome video projection “Road to Victory”. The Victory Museum collection comprises over 389 thousand artefacts, such as personal belongings of military leaders and soldiers, letters from the front, awards, weapons, uniforms, paper currency and other rare items. Thus, the visitor may connect with this historical epoch through its relics.
The new exposition of Victory Museum «The Battle for Moscow. The First Victory!» is timed to the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The exposition is dedicated to the remembrance of the defenders of the city, the sacrificial feat of the participants of the Battle for Moscow, which has been written into the world history as one of the outstanding examples of perseverance in the fight against the ominous enemy; courage and military art.
Vivid artistic images of Muscovites affected by the war are shown in dozens of sculptures of real characters. They allow visitors to get acquainted with the fates and feats of the participants of the Battle for Moscow, the defenders of the city.
One of the world's largest collections of World War II military hardware and weapons on the open-air display. In unique thematic locations, more than 400 rare exhibits are presented - from passenger cars to heavy tanks and fighters. Through interactive expositions, recreated historical scenery and special effects, the exposition immerses visitors in the tense atmosphere of the war time.
These displays present one of the largest collections of military equipment including captured vehicles and weapons along with the army hardware of the Allies. Here you may see engineering constructions, railway troops equipment, aircraft, artillery pieces, automobiles and ships.

There is free transfer from “Park Pobedy” Metro Station to the Museum and back on weekends and holidays from 10.00 to 19.00 every 30 minutes.
