Victory Museum is the main Russian military history museum devoted to the Great Patriotic War and World War II, one ofthe largest military history museums in the world. The museum is a tremendous space of emotional perception, obtaining information and scientific knowledge for millions of visitors.

Main Building

The exhibition area of the main building is more than 14 000 m2. Apart from the main exhibition, you may see six unique dioramas depicting major battles of the Great Patriotic War, a 3D historical and artistic panorama “Battle of Berlin”, and a full-dome video projection “Road to Victory”. The Victory Museum collection comprises over 60 thousand artefacts, such as personal belongings of military leaders and soldiers, letters from the front, awards, weapons, uniforms, paper currency and other rare items. Thus, the visitor may connect with this historical epoch through its relics.

The new grandiose exposition of the Museum is located on an area of 3 thousand square meters. The new museum space presents the contribution to the Victory of the home front hard workers - thousands of ordinary citizens of the country, scientists, health and cultural workers, all those who selflessly worked for the benefit of the country during the tough years of the Great Patriotic War.
The unique exposition
The large-scale project of Victory Museum has no analogues in the domestic museum practice. The concept of the “Feat of the Nation” is based on a combination of unique exhibits, visual effects and scenery, recreated with stunning authenticity. This combination will allow you not only to learn historical facts, but also to feel emotionally the events of the times of great trials for our country.

«The Battle for Moscow. The First Victory! » exposition

The new exposition of Victory Museum «The Battle for Moscow. The First Victory!» is timed to the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The exposition is dedicated to the remembrance of the defenders of the city, the sacrificial feat of the participants of the Battle for Moscow, which has been written into the world history as one of the outstanding examples of perseverance in the fight against the ominous enemy; courage and military art.

Vivid artistic images of Muscovites affected by the war are shown in dozens of sculptures of real characters. They allow visitors to get acquainted with the fates and feats of the participants of the Battle for Moscow, the defenders of the city.

Museum of the Main Weapons Relics of the Army.

One of the world's largest collections of World War II military hardware and weapons on the open-air display. In unique thematic locations, more than 400 rare exhibits are presented - from passenger cars to heavy tanks and fighters. Through interactive expositions, recreated historical scenery and special effects, the exposition immerses visitors in the tense atmosphere of the war time.

These displays present one of the largest collections of military equipment including captured vehicles and weapons along with the army hardware of the Allies. Here you may see engineering constructions, railway troops equipment, aircraft, artillery pieces, automobiles and ships.

How to reach us
“Park Pobedy” Metro Station
By foot: “Park Pobedy” Metro Station, first carriage from the city-center, exit to “Park Pobedy” (Victory Park). Then walk straight down the Main Alley towards the Victory Monument until you reach the Victory Museum
“Minskaya” Metro Station
By foot: “Minskaya” Metro Station, exit to the Memorial Mosque on Poklonnaya Gora, after you’ve passed the Mosque turn right and walk straight down the Partisan Alley of the Victory Park. Walk around the Museum main building from the right. The central entrance is in front of the Victory Monument and the Eternal Flame

There is free transfer from “Park Pobedy” Metro Station to the Museum and back on weekends and holidays from 10.00 to 19.00 every 30 minutes.
